NLITE and AHCI Installation Guide

AHCI

The installation steps below will guide you in conﬁ guring your SATA drive to AHCI

mode.

1. Enter the BIOS utility and conﬁ gure the SATA controller to IDE mode.

2. Install Windows XP but do not press F6.

3. Download relevant RAID/AHCI driver ﬁ les supported by the motherboard

chipset from Intel’s website.

Transfer the downloaded

driver ﬁ les to C:\AHCI.

4. Open Device Manager and

right click on one of the

Intel Serial ATA Storage

Controllers, then select

Update Driver.

If the controller you se-

lected did not work, try

selecting another one.
